The Idler Academy, Film, Ukulele Courses
Since September 2011, Mr. Wootton has been teaching Ukulele for beginners and Intermediates at the Idler Academy, 5 minutes from the Studio. (Stratigically supported by Mr Dawe.) The Courses are enjoyable and successful. They are usually sold out well in advance.
Graduates recieve a Diploma, presented by the Headmaster, Mr Hodgkinson.
The photos on the left are from the the end of term and year concert in the Idler Academy on 18 December.
There is a selection of stills from the night here. (At higher resolution.)
(Ms Hamer's footage was supplemented by some excellant iphone shots from Mr Dawe.)
The Films also feature performances from our friends, Michael Tyack and Jennifer Bennett, performing as Musica 432 on Lute, Baroque Violin and Viola da Gamba.
Also worth watching is a performance of 'Plumbers Coffin' by The Sometimes and Forever Band (Spike Golding and Mr. Wootton, plus, on this occassion, all the beginners Ukulelists, Headmaster, Tom Hodgkinson, Michael and Jenny plus several members of the audience and special guests including, Nik Clifford on Banjo, Warwick Smith on recorder and our friend Sophie Baker on Sleigh Bells.)
(Thank you to lovely Bobbie Bertie for keeping the evening on track, merrily teetering near the chasms of chaos.)
