– Torso, Paul Vanstone, Installation, Iceni, Vikings
A lovely installation of a Paul Vanstone torso in Suffolk.
She looked perfectly at home with the Shepherds bathing hut/machine.
Photographs by Dawn Nowell, Danny Wootton and Simon Dawe.
(As we drove to Suffolk, Dawe felt a strong link to the Iceni: "Hey I reckon I would have made a great Iceni, I can imagine hanging out with Boudica."
He also enquired as to Wootton's internal feelings and wondered whether his relatives might have been Danish Vikings: "Can you feel anything? I reckon your relatives arrived here via the hook of Holland. In the past we might have fought."
Wootton ignored Dawe as he was busy designing something on his laptop. However later, post install, Dawn, our host for the day, asked Wootton: "Are you related to the local Woottons?"
On the way back Dawe found this very amusing: "I told you so")
